QUICKSILVER is the lighter of the two layers in the Ashfield Schist. Geologists tell us this layer contains fine, crystalline quartzite. QUICKSIVER can be very simple and quiet or can have silver traces like jet trails or ribbons of white quartz veining.
QUICKSILVER is an option when choosing slabs for countertops, fireplace surrounds and hearths.
Finishes are POLISHED (reflective but not overly glossy) or SATIN (smooth and luminous).
